Vincent the synergy stomp with at least someone to keep him alive. Less of an issue if he has BT+
Guy or Lenna and strong damage dealers to meet crystal color and ignore orb
It's a Lufenia level fight, nothing too dangerous if you decide to damage race

This orb will kill you upon exploding
BRV damage is reduced by up to 50% throughout the fight (at thresholds, they reduce BRV damage by 250% until they're broken).
BRV gains are reduced by up to 70% throughout the fight.
General Team Themes to counter the stage:
Sephiroth handles the mechanics and orb comfortably but another unit or 2 can help ensure safety while damage racing
Bring 100% gravity or insta break units (You can find a list of them on our Roles page)
Might be a little tricky to race if you can't instant break the bears often (e.g. Sephiroth EX isn't up in time) but if you have Cait LD effect or Snow BT effect up, you can BRV gain your way to reliable HP DMG without needing to BREAK the bears. Just make sure to not let them take a turn without BREAKing them after their BRV gain!
Boss abilities to watch out for:
When either hits 79%, 59%, 29% & 19%: both bears delay themselves, gain BRV until their max and reduce BRV DMG by 250% until Broken. Only happens 4 times in the fight total.
They will use Spear Shot+ if not broken on their next turn: removes target's buffs, reduce target's BRV by 60%, BRV + HP. Ignores HP DMG Mitigation. BRV gain. Inflicts Puncture Wound - Can't gain or steal BRV.
They will use Spear Shot if broken on their next turn: Recover from BREAK, reduce target's BRV by 60%, BRV + HP, ignores HP DMG Mitigation. BRV gain.
Wild Breath: Delays target 2T.
Brio Shot: AoE BRV + Split HP. Inflicts Poison Wound - DEF Down & 10% mHP Poison. Guaranteed hit.
Reckoning vs 2x Lunatic Anger Hawk (THE THICCENS)

Vincent, Lilisete, Kefka, Fran, Gabranth, Laguna, Serah* (she can be funky)
LAGUNA REFINED SPHERES RISE UP (if used correctly they can enable Kadaj, Relm, Emperor, Auron, Terra, Fang, etc.)
With double refined Laguna spheres, Relm and Emperor can satisfy the orb with their non-debuffing AoE HP attacks (Relm's Tentacle attack and Emperor's LD & HP+++). Don't make full spheres just for this event as they don't even work anyway; only refineds work for this and they're cheaper if you had them!

Orb will tick down by 3 for each buff the enemies get. They will try to apply 5 buffs when they go below 90%, 60%, 50%, 30%, 20% & 10% (which is -15 if they succeed outside of BT or Summon Phase)!

89% - Remove 5 debuffs. Grants iBRV, ATK, DEF, SPD and BRV DMG Up buffs to self. Grants 1M BRV shield to self.
69% - Grants 1M BRV shield to self.
59% - Remove 5 debuffs. Grants iBRV, ATK, DEF, SPD and BRV DMG Up buffs to self.
49% - Remove 5 debuffs. Grants iBRV, ATK, DEF, SPD and BRV DMG Up buffs to self. Grants 1M BRV shield to self.
29% - Remove 5 debuffs. Grants iBRV, ATK, DEF, SPD and BRV DMG Up buffs to self. Grants 1M BRV shield to self.

Above 60% or 30% are the best times to setup BT or summon phase as triggering the thresholds' cleanse and buffs will NOT tick down the orb during these phases making it very comfy for orb purposes.
Scary boss attacks:
Ice Blow (Recast): Recover from BREAK, BRV gain, AoE Ice BRVs + Split HP attack. Guaranteed Hit. Gains Physical and BRV DMG reductions for 5T (anyone's turn passing counts).
Lightning Kick: Recover from BREAK, BRV gain, AoE Thunder BRVs + Split HP attack.
Windburst: BRV gain, Wind BRV attack. Guaranteed hit.
General Team Themes to counter the stage:
"Several actions will play in sequence. It is recommended that you set aside sufficient time to engage these actions in their entirety."
This fight is LONG. Don't get impatient or lose focus; it is very easy to lose because you forgot to mitigate for a big attack or the orb goes off from their cleanse or you get broken and die from unlucky turn rate.
If you want to bring debuffing calls, use them after they perform their cleanse since doing it right before their cleanse will make you feel really sad.

Notes on Solos/Duos
Due to the slow release of Transcendence and the power of our units growing, many previous Reckonings (Middle Gates) can be done with 1-2 units which means using 1 unit on each Crucible (Side Gate). While it helps save units, some Solos/Duos have luck or specific strategy components so we will help identify at least which units have been extremely useful in the tier as of this update (made June 2023) so if Solo/Duo strategies aren't your thing, you can at least see what unit does great in a fight so you can throw some more units at it.
When we mention a character we assume them to have as many upgrades and weapons as possible. These will also be added to each tier page.
REMINDER: start at the latest tier and go backward as you can use your strongest units faster that way with little fear of needing to shuffle units around. These units are great if you have them, but you can overpower stages without them.

Reckoning: Ultimecia solo, Relm + Galuf duo or add another unit for comfort (RELM NEEDS 2 Laguna refined spheres for this strat, ultimecia needs 1 Laguna refined sphere), Edgar can help with the orb but fits no side gate color. This fight is pretty stinky.
