Sphere Recommendations
NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!A Sphere - Focus on BRV DMG & ATK... 10% BRV DMG > 15% MATK > 10% ATK & mBRV > 10% ATK > 5% ATK & anything
D Sphere - Focus on any ATK sphere, avoid Wakka since she only has 5 buffs during her LD windows. Hope/Queen are best, the others are great.
E Sphere - She debuffs on her main skills, so most are completely fine for her. Seymour's sphere is absolutely best for her, since she only needs to debuff on 5 turns for the effect to be always on, which is useful if you max out framed debuffs late in the fight! For utility or specific lufenia orbs that require 4 debuffs (2 on each enemy), Laguna sphere and spamming S2 got you covered, otherwise boost her stats!
How-To-Play Notes
MADOYO
Always keep an eye on Terra’s Magic stacks above her head, max is 9.
When 5+ : Access to + skills, but + skills will consume 4 each.
Stacks do not decrease while she has her LD buff.
EX will max her stacks up to 9
When < 5 : Downgraded skills, but skills will add 5 each. Try to use AA to get her back above 5 if this happens if EX isn't up and you don't have space to LD
Meltdown+ (S1) will probably be her most used skill with 3 HP attacks and 3 instances of splash which is great for 2 or more enemies.
Meteor+ (S2) can be useful in Single Target fights or Main boss and side enemy fights where the side enemies can/must be ignored as it does 4 HP attacks to the target and 1 splash to others.
Riot Blade (EX) is a solid ability to use with it's buff also being much stronger. It has 2 instances of splash and upgrades her HP command into Dualcast.
Dualcast is Instant Turn Rate to help you take more turns if you need them!
Chaos Wave (LD) can be used whenever you need to go a lot. She will get 5 turns in a row, 4 being instant turn and free skill uses. Try to maximize her damage in these windows using the considerations above. While you can save these all for a BT effect to be up, but sometimes you need breathing room in a fight to heal back up and LD offers more time to break the enemies, pushing them back.
Linked attackers, follow up units, Selphie's Rapture and HP DMG Limit supports are her best friends as you can snapshot buffs/debuffs, so long as mechanics allow it, to completely overwhelm enemies.
For Force Time, her personal damage isn't as high as other units, however pairing her linked attackers and other Echo users can help her out.
Having access to her FR Echo attack is also very useful as she has one of the highest potential damage ceilings with 5 AoE HPs both being instant turn which she can make great use of at the end of Force Time!
Trance Ultima (BT) is a single target attack, so be mindful if you are trying to keep damage even. The setup here is incredibly flexible, just consider:
Ending the BT phase with LD means she will cut into her 10T BT effect for her allies, so depending on party comp, you might want to the eat entire effect with Terra, or save it for allies.
Ring of Rose and Crimson (FR) is an instant turn attack. If she starts force time she wants:
Instant Turn Rate abilities (30%, 40% if you have her FR boards)
Magic Abilities on turn (20%, 40% for Terra's Magic attacks)
This means a unit like Ultimecia or Lunafreya can get 60%, superchargers can get 90% and Terra herself can get 80% while doing her thing
A thing to note is that while these are good percentage increases, if you have other units with FR Echo attacks available, make sure you give them turns at the end of the FR time so they can do their big damage. EX is the best button to use to pass the turn as her other skills have high turn rate.
