Sphere Recommendations
NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!A Spheres - Focus only on BRV DMG and/or ATK. ATK +15% or BRV DMG +10% is best. Noel, Cloud, Raijin are among the best, but use the link to pick any sphere in these categories.
D Sphere - Hers is one of the best D spheres period, but any of the ATK/mBRV spheres are solid too! (Hope, Cissnei, Wakka)
How-To-Play Notes
Queen dishes out big damage with her Devastate and if that's not enough she can boost EX abilities by 95% with her BT and transformed BRV / HP commands (like Devastate) by 145% with her BT and FR! In addition she can provide hefty supporting auras and party-wide last stand to keep the party alive.
Her base skills are very very lackluster. Speedrush Thrust (S1) is filler type single target attack which batteries the party and extends her self granted buffs by 1 turn.
Mana Sphere (S2) is generally just used to upkeep her 2 framed buffs. It shaves all enemies which can be helpful. Most of her skills extend her buffs by a turn, so upkeeping her buffs isn’t difficult.
Rasetsu Arousal (EX) deals great damage and grants her a unique effect which enables 3 uses of her transformed versions of her BRV/HP skills. She cannot use any other skills with this effect besides BRV/HP+ variations! It does lower her HP to 1, but she gains immunity to KO by normal HP attacks and she recovers above 50% after it falls off, so there’s actually little risk here!
Balestra Lunge is her transformed BRV+ after EX. It will nearly always cap her damage, and is an instant free turn. Use this if you need to quickly drive down her overhead effect.
Devastate is her transformed HP+ after EX. This is where her damage comes from!
Infringement (BT) provides her very THICC BRV/HP/EX ability boosters.
(95% HP DMG Limit, 85% BRV DMG Limit, 50% HP DMG being the most important)
She applies her special effect and as a reminder she cannot use any skills besides her transformed BRV/HP attacks which means no calls & no echo.
Does this mean she's BAD?! No. You can treat her similar to how 6T BT effects work (Echo -> Echo -> BT finisher)
OR you can use her BT Finisher EARLY and use 2-3 quick BRV commands to burn through the effect if she's playing a supportive role.
Put In Order (FR) provides a further boost to transformed BRV/HP commands (50% HP DMG & Limit). It asks for:
Melee ability on turn : +40%
Transformed BRV/HP commands : +60%
These make for an amazing Queen BT phase. The 60% for transformed BRV/HP commands are also great for other BRV/HP attackers as echoes before BT phases will raise the FR HP DMG Bonus high already. Combine it with the 50% HP DMG & Limit for transformed BRV/HP commands and that damage will stack up very quickly. For comfort, you can stick with other FR times that have easier-to-hit conditions!
Team Synergy
List of units that can or will benefit from the transformed BRV/HP button focus: Vivi, Yuffie, Yuna, Cater, Penelo, Aerith, Auron, Irvine, Edgar, Lenna, Yuri, Locke, Rosa, Rinoa, Sherlotta, Machina, Ignis, Reno, Queen, Jessie, Selh'teus
Too many units that like EX uses, however Lightning, Squall, Noel have BT effects that let them spam EX. Utility like Crystal Passive U4, Bahamut Summon and Rem's BT effect help other units use their EX much more frequently.
Special shoutout to Jihl with BT as she can use her enhanced EX and grant 30% HP DMG Bonus MORE thanks to her BT effect.
Removable Passives
NOTE: Passives should generally only be removed if you lack CP space. There are very rare occasions where a character has a bad passive that disrupts their optimal gameplay.BRV Attack++ HP Attack++ Up (never used)
Divine Judgment Focused Attack (only useful if facing a singular enemy)
Buff Base Up (20% iBRV is unfortunately not a relevant stat unless you run her alongside someone with iBRV regen)
Break Speed Up (10% SPD for a turn after breaking isn’t very impactful, but it’s not good to slow down your damage dealers)
Buff Speed Up (10% SPD while buffed… same as above)
