Supplementary Notes to the Infographic Analysis:
The infographic covers the key critical points and should be reviewed prior to delving into the in-depth notesLion always opens with her LD, Pirate Pummel to basically ignore her original kit, enabling constant upgraded skills, and allowing her to always deal weakness damage. You’ll continue to use this simply to upkeep her buff, as you should never let it drop off.
Sneak Attack is single target attack, and it’s recharged by 1 every time she uses EX, so you will generally never run out.
Powder Keg has an additional hit vs Sneak and also has splash, but isn’t recharged. It’s useful to use this to drop your debuffs on the enemy
Walk the Plank is her primary AoE shave, and it recharges in 2 skill uses. Try to time this after an ally turn to get the upgraded version which has an additional attack. You can use an AA to trigger it if the damage is important. She can spam skills for a whopping 49 of her turns, but her LD buff only lasts for 36 turns, so basically… spam skills.
Watch out for her new BRV+. It lets her jump behind an ally, and even though her follow-up will trigger, it's still 1 HP attack, and it still adds to turn count and eats into her buffs.
Allies with BRV DMG Limit up for the party are great for her, along with BRV Gains up supports.
A Sphere - ATK & BRV DMG are both equally great for her, maybe a slight edge toward BRV DMG since she has lots of ATK buffs already.
D Sphere - Any ATK sphere outside of Wakka will do the trick
E Sphere - Any ATK sphere works, Paine is excellent for more party benefits, as she constantly hits weakness, otherwise Auron, Seymour are great, Yuffie/Emperor are fine.
HP Attack+ Up (never used)
BRV Attack+ Up (never used)
Critical Stealth (only triggers on BRV+ variants)
Break Speed Up (if you want to slow her down just a bit, not a big difference)
