Sphere Recommendations

NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!
  • A Sphere: Shantotto deals magic damage, hits weakness often and wants ATK or BRV DMG to hit harder. Magic ATK is ok too!

  • E Sphere: Debuffs often and wants ATK or Magic ATK

How-To-Play Notes

  • Make sure Shantotto doesn't lose her Rage buff, use LD or any non-LD BRV/HP variants to boost it back to 10 turns!

  • Key to Shantotto is her Accursed Gaze debuff. Make sure this is applied before you use her skills. This is her bread and butter debuff, and will execute skills twice if the enemy has Accursed Gaze.

  • Rage Aero (S1) is her strong filler skill while EX isn't ready and you don't need to paralyze the boss with LD yet.

  • Rage Bio (S2) is great to reapply Accursed Gaze to all enemies, assuming your EX is not charged. This drops poison as well, but note that it only shaves one enemy.

  • Use Rage Divine Malison (EX) whenever it's up, including at quest start. This imperils all elements in a framed debuff so that she will always hit for weakness with This generally recharges with just 1 skill use, but sometimes her high turn rates cause her to jump making her use an HP+++/Rage HP to finish charging it.

  • Salvation Scythe (LD) can be used for a clutch AoE paralysis when you need it most. It's nice to save one before you summon to benefit the most from the 100% DEF Down attached to the debuff. If you do have her BT, no worry on saving one, as you can use the free use LD in the BT window before summoning.

  • BT+ enchants the party with Darkness damage foregoing the need of a dedicated enchanter to boost the party's BRV DMG.

Removable Passives

NOTE: Passives should generally only be removed if you lack CP space. There are very rare occasions where a character has a bad passive that disrupts their optimal gameplay.
  • BRV Attack+ Up

  • HP Attack+ Up

  • BRV Attack++ Up

  • HP Attack++ Up

  • Devil's Laugh (can't trigger unless you lose her overhead effect, which you should never do)

  • Break Speed Up (if you find her too fast)
