Supplementary Notes to the Infographic Analysis:The infographic covers the key critical points and should be reviewed prior to delving into the in-depth notes
Many people play Strago differently, but we will provide general notes of his playstyle, do not feel like these are hard rules. Strago has no problem maintaining his Soul of Thamasa buff throughout the fight, and can generally skill spam.
Generally open with his AA to get his Soul of Thamasa buff, and ensure that his first skill use gets dualcasted. Follow up with Quasar or Grand Delta
Quasar is his bread & butter for damage, it also maintains his 6T ATK/mBRV buff
BRV 2 Death is his utility skill, used to instantly break enemies that have an even amount of BRV (divisible by 2). This skill doesn't hit as hard as Quasar, and so if you don't need its utility in the current fight, you can use this just to get your [Soul of Thamasa] buff in a pinch (but AA is usually better)
Sabre Soul recharges in 2 skill uses
Grand Delta breaks enemies twice if dualcasted, and also instant breaks them. This is his best form of utility. He has lots of uses of this, and it gives him a free ability use after, which should always be Quasar since it's 100% AoE
Team Synergy Notes:
Strago's potencies are quite low, so make sure you give him support via enchanters & strong ATK boosts (Desch, Sazh, Garnet, Raijin, Aphmau are all good examples)
A spheres: Focus on BRV DMG most, but ATK & mBRV is good too
His own sphere, or Cyan's sphere are great on him, but do make sure to give him a BRV DMG +10% sphere like Cloud or Kuja, there are many, check the link!
