Aerith

Infographic (October 2022)

Team Synergy Notes

  • Aerith can operate in just about any content, even magic resist if you want. Typically you’ll want to pair her with a damage dealer and any other utility you may need

  • If you want to use her Force Ability, you are much more limited in who can make use of it

Sphere Recommendations

NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!
  • A Sphere - Focus strictly on ATK, not Magic ATK. Noel sphere is absolutely the best, but an ATK +10% sphere with more iBRV or mBRV also works well.

    • Many players will be disappointed to know that her own sphere isn’t ideal for her, since the Magic ATK boost won’t affect her gravity, healing, or battery effects that are prevalent throughout her entire kit. ATK is far superior for her than Magic ATK.

  • C Sphere - Focus ATK, which means Garnet is best. Alphinaud triggers on buffing and Maria/Llyud trigger on healing. All these work as she applies her EX buff and heals before the attack, triggering either sphere. Refined versions of any of these are just fine as well.

  • D Sphere - Focus ATK, so any ATK sphere works! We initially discouraged using Wakka's sphere here, but Aerith can generally maintain 5 buffs, though you may have some off turns throughout the fight unless paired with a unit that can provide another buff on Aerith.

How-To-Play Notes

  • Aerith has high turn rates across her entire kit. Long press the skill button to see where Aerith’s next turn will land.

  • Since she will follow up all of her HP attacks while this buff is active, you will mainly focus on using BRV/HP+++ and Fury Brand. Just make sure to maintain her LD buff as it's not extendable. Her base skills are only needed for buff maintenance sometimes, but more likely for their utility to heal/revive.

    • Fury Brand (EX, use whenever charged)

    • HP+++ most of the time

    • BRV+++ if you are trying really hard to avoid Aerith/party from being broken.

  • Healing Wind (S1) is for when you need to burst heal your party or you're just filling your FR gauge. Since this move is instant, you can chain these together.

  • Prayer of the Cetra (S2) is to maintain the Cetra's Favor buff, to revive a fallen party member or to fill the FR gauge. While it is high turn rate, it is not instant so if you plan to use this, be prepared to pass the turn which may be beneficial in fights that don't want too many turns or in Force Time if you feel it's more valuable to charge the gauge but pass turn (Probably for another unit's Burst Phase)

  • All BRV Regen Attack (AA) is great to use before you BT or summon, or during a period of battle when damage is reduced and you want the additional regen to boost your battery.

  • Flowers Floating in Another World (FR) is her Force ability which has no damage attached, and instead will heal + battery the party and start at a higher HP DMG Bonus than attacking Force abilities.

    • She wants transformed BRV/HP Commands (Sherlotta's FR if you're familiar).

    • She also wants units who can battery the party and gets a bonus for batterying the party herself.

    • Her Force is great for other supports who rely on their BRV/HP buttons that battery on the side like Yuna, Sherlotta, Hope and Ursula to name a few. 2 Supports and a Kain can also make a decent combo if you plan to use Aerith's Force ability.

  • Check out Sephy’s channel for some Aerith runs (and other FF7 characters)!

Removable Passives

  • BRV Attack+ HP Attack+ Up (never used)

  • HP Damage Attack Up (too situational and she has no way to taunt enemies)

  • Wish Upon a Star (incredibly minor effect that wastes a buff slot

  • Quick Healing Wind (if you want to slow her down, sure, but most people leave these equipped as it does not affect recharge or gameplay)

  • Quick Prayer of Cetra (if you want to slow her down, sure, but most people leave these equipped as it does not affected recharge or gameplay)
