How-To-Play Notes

  • Yuffie deals more damage to debuffed targets, and she starts with all her buffs up, and her LD debuff active on each wave.

  • Open with I don’t need this to dump 8 debuffs on all enemies, and THEN it will transfer Yuffie’s current debuffs +5T, if she has any. This also removes a debuff from allies which can be very nice cleansing.

  • No other character in the game can throw debuffs. NONE.

  • Important - if you throw back a powerful debuff onto an enemy, be careful pushing off the debuff! If you use S2 again, it will remove the powerful debuff

  • Mine now is used for its single target 100% gravity effect, while also stealing 2 buffs from the enemy

  • Gauntlet has alternating hits which is always annoying. 9 hits means:

  • 2 enemies, target A, it will hit A first

  • 3 enemies, target A, BCA x3, target B, ACB x3, target C, ABC x3

  • This skill recharges in 2 skill uses, allowing Yuffie to spam skills for 32 of her turns

  • Doom of the Living to maintain your LD buff or LD debuff. Your free ability use is best on Mine now since it’s a higher damaging skill.

Team Synergy Notes

  • Yuffie is incredibly self sufficient, don’t worry about her. Run alongside any damage dealer and support and let her focus on neutering the boss.

Sphere Recommendations

NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!
  • D sphere: Focus on ATK, anything but Wakka will be fine to activate

  • E spheres: Quistis is probably the best choice for the slight boost to mBRV for the party, which boosts her own battery... but otherwise you can opt for her own (which is one of the best E spheres in the game), or Irvine or any ATK sphere out there. Eald / Serah are also fine to boost her mBRV a bit for more battery.

Removable Passives

NOTE: Passives should generally only be removed if you lack CP space. There are very rare occasions where a character has a bad passive that disrupts their optimal gameplay.
  • BRV Initiative (can mess up turn orders by fluctuating Yuffie’s speed, consider removing)

  • BRV Attack++ HP Attack++ (never used given LD BRV/HP)

  • BRV Attack+ HP Attack+ (never used)

  • Chain Bonus (SQEX needs to rework this garbage passive)

  • I don't need this~ BRV Gain (insignificant BRV gain)
