Sphere Recommendations
NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!A Spheres - He wants mBRV because it's what his unique battery is based off of and his big attacks are 1 BRV hit each; gaining and holding brv (OF gained) is based off of mBRV.
C Spheres - Iris, Alphinaud, Maria or Llyud spheres.
How-To-Play Notes
Selh'teus is a surprising nuke character as his BT enables his transformed HP attack - Crystal Diver - to destroy anything in it's path. He also provides tons of supportive auras to the party which enables himself and the team to reliably do their damage.
Blaze Thrust (S1) is 5 Split HP attacks that heals and batteries party. Provides Half-Phoenix buff to Selh'teus with minor boosts.
Reversal Drive (S2) is 6 Split HP attacks but no healing or battery. Same buff as S1.
Non-attacking EX that revives and heals party; he restores 1 use of S1 and S2 and fills party's EX gauge a little. Useful for FR charging on his first turn but also important to maintain his Two Wings Opposing the End special effect.
Revelation (LD) batteries party and does 10 Full HP attacks. Watcher of Vana'Diel buff provides party BRV & HP DMG up and BRV hit Battery which is great for everyone that does BRV hits.
Luminous Lance (BT) offers party:
BRV Gains +50%
BRV DMG Limit +50%
HP DMG +20%
HP DMG Limit +30%
His transformed HP:
Crystal Diver hits for 11 Full HP attacks, extends his buffs and increases his EX gauage. Very powerful attack.
A debuff that offers HP poison, HP DMG taken up, DEF down and a paralyze. Great debuff if you can make use of it.
Eclipse Lance (FR) asks for:
At least full HP on turn : +40%
Magic Ability on turn : +40%
No FR aura.
Team Synergy
A great addition to the "transformed HP" archetype to hit those FR conditions but also an amazing addition to Yellow Crystal Quest teams. He's by far the hardest-hitting unit they have and provides amazing auras and lockdown through his auras and debuff.
Queen and Ursula push his damage to the next level with their BT effects.
Very few downsides to the character as he's a jack of all trades, master of them all.
His FR isn't anything special but if you run a full magic team, it's a solid 80% HP DMG Bonus all the time.
Units with HP DMG Limit up and Enna Kros all also heavily boost his damage.
His HP Poison is based on enemy HP and is not affected by FR time.
