Gameplay Notes

  • Basch converts AoE HP attacks against the party directly onto him, and he reduces the damage, has Last Stand, and also can’t drop below 50% HP from damage taken. You bring him to the fight against frequent AoE HP attacks so that your team faces minimal threat from enemy attacks.

  • Basch generally opens with Indomitable Palisade, which gives him near immortality (be careful of HP poison or HP draining (like Vivi) type effects). This also gets all his Fulminating Darkness buffs and debuffs up. This does heal the party, but that’s just more of a convenience.

  • Fulminating Darkness is his go to AoE shave if it's really needed, but more likely you are using this to keep up his buffs and Lock enemies onto him. Use this when buffs/debuffs are expiring and when Basch still has his LD buff.

  • Ruin Impendent is his main ST damage dealing skill, he's got plenty of uses of it. Be sure to upkeep his main ATK/mBRV buff with this, and you can also use this to give him a great burst self heal.

  • Flame Purge recharges in 2 skill uses, and with 19 skills, he can spam skills for 28 turns (84+ turn fight since he’s very average speed).

Team Synergy Notes

  • Never give Basch more than 1 framed buff from the party, or else you risk Basch being unable to buff himself with his own skills!

  • Check our buffs page to see who can support Basch and has 1 or less framed buffs for the party!

Sphere Recommendations

  • A sphere: Focus ATK & BRV DMG to boost all of his batteries that are based on HP DMG dealt.

  • B sphere: His own sphere is beyond premium for him, but any that involve him taking HP damage works. Technically any B sphere works fine for him outside of the evasion ones.

  • C sphere: Focus on ATK, and probably lean toward Alphinaud or Maria to help the party. Alternatively, you can up his battery with Sherlotta or Arciela.

Removable Passives

  • BRV Attack+ HP Attack+ Up (never used)

  • HP Damage BRV Gain (extremely low value)
