Sphere Recommendations
A Spheres: Give him ATK, BRV DMG, Melee ATK or Physical ATK spheres
E Sphere: For utility, he can use Vanille's sphere to remove annoying enemy buffs. For stats, his own or any other ATK raising sphere.
How-to-Play Notes
These notes are thanks to the work of Renki#4255, who proactively wrote these notes, allowing Ink to edit & add them here.He is best paired with melee characters to take advantage of his imperils. His first attack is free instant turn, so just make sure Tornado (LD) is one of them.
Banishing Blade (S1) grants Auron Bushido and inflicts 2 generic debuffs on all enemies. Bushido provides a small stat buff for Auron. This move can make Auron jump up in turns so be careful if you want enemies to go a lot for Auron to counter and take advantage of precious FR time
Purgatory (S2) grants a speed buff to Auron along with Bushido and inflicts Melee Resist Down to all enemies, imperiling them against melee. Remove Guiding Tachi (his 35cp Passive) and he will not gain SPD up. Extremely useful to remove for counter/trap teams.
Dragon Fang (EX) recharges in 2 skill uses, and delays all targets by 1 turn, grants Auron physical attack up, and inflicts all targets with Melee Resist Down.
Tornado (LD) ignores defense, grants a free ability use and a buff to Auron, another to the allies (the cover), and applies Full Break and Melee Resist Down on all enemies. Auron’s buff grants HP Regen, Last Stand, damage boosts and BRV gain to Auron and gives him a counter whenever he takes BRV or HP damage. The party buff allows Auron to cover the party member, makes them tankier, and gives them HP regen. The new debuff reduces an enemy’s damage dealt, increases HP damage taken, and increases melee BRV damage taken.
His Counter ignores defense, inflicts the Full Break debuff, and heals Auron based on the damage dealt, however since it has a 35% max HP limit to his heal, if he takes lethal damage and survives with Last Stand, his counter will heal him 35% but cannot take another strong HP attack or he may die! You can work around this with Llyud base call or with Crystal Passive D4.
Waves of Treachery (FR) applies his Melee imperil and Full Break. It asks for:
Attacking a debuffed target on turn: +30%
Any weapon weakness DMG: +5% (+15% if Auron does it)
Enemies taking turns: +20%
Legendary Journey (BT) brings back the BOYS! Apart from the BT aura (the usual stats of BRV DMG & Limit, HP DMG & Limit) Auron also unlocks Soar after attacking 3 times (including his counters).
Soar (HP button granted from BT stacks) deals MASSIVE damage and applies his generic debuffs. Great in FR time or in BT phase (if you save up enough of them).
