How-To-Play Notes
Yang's main purpose is a melee AoE attacker who can take advantage of both fast teammates or fast enemies as he will kick after anyone attacks with a chance at a counter if he himself is attacked.
Focus (IV) is just to maintain your generic buffs, or shave AoE if needed. It has high turn rate so sometimes you may want Yang to jump up in turn to break up consecutive boss turns.
Twin Wing Frenzy charges in 2 skill uses and gives him his 3T buff that has ATK and a lot of stolen brv overflow. It only shaves one enemy, so be aware. He can spam skills for 31 turns straight, so 90+ turn quest, and he’s already a bit slow, he has fantastic longevity.
Kick+ is just a high damage skill, shaving an enemy with high splash.
Oboro Strike should be used tactically, as the buff makes your entire team unbreakable and has nice overflow and physical attack boosts. Use this buff to counteract ALL attacks. Use the followup especially while a friend BT effect is active. Use AA’s that have a BRV or HP attack associated. Yang will constantly follow up any attack!
Kick Recovery Boost is useful when your LD buff isn't active and your EX is charged (you may lose the EX buff by using this carelessly)
Team Synergy Notes
Before his C90 Rework, he would exclusively want consecutive attackers, however he is much more flexible to take turns thanks to longer buff durations so Yang taking turns isn't detrimental to the gameplan
You can still slot him with consecutive attackers, but you can take a more enemy-turn oriented approach with a counter unit and off-turn focused FR that rewards you for letting enemies act or attacking when it's not the units turn
He still loves BT phases as he kicks them into high gear!
Removable Passives
NOTE: Passives should generally only be removed if you lack CP space. There are very rare occasions where a character has a bad passive that disrupts their optimal gameplay.Kill BRV Gain (worst passive in the game)
Buff Speed Up (he’s slow enough that you don’t need to make him slower. If not using him with a consecutive turn character, then this is wise to remove)
Kick Attacks HP Attack+ Up (never used)
Kick Attacks+ HP Attack++ Up (you’re generally spamming skills with Yang, you don’t need this)
