Sphere Recommendations
NOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!A Spheres: ATK or BRV DMG are her best options, she can benefit from PATK up spheres, but won't make the most use of specific Melee ATK or Ranged ATK spheres.
E Sphere: Laguna sphere (even refined!) allows any of her skills to apply her LD debuff which enables the party much more than giving her stat boosters. Other debuffing spheres can work, however you may not get an AoE application of [Daze] without Laguna. If you want the stat boosters, she still just wants ATK, stop overthinking!
Note: If you rely on Laguna (or any other debuff sphere) to apply Daze as a call, make sure there isn't a stronger version of the debuff already or up she will not apply the Sphere's debuff and by extension she will not apply Daze! If running her in main party, consider using Kam sphere as it provides ATK down and none of her kit provides it making it a little easier to apply daze with S2 or EX!
How-To-Play Notes
These notes are thanks to the work of Renki#4255, who proactively wrote these notes, allowing Cel to edit & add them here.Fang plays very simply. You want to build up her Fang of Transgression buff to ensure she has her maximum stat boosts and her upgraded EX variation. Otherwise, you want to ensure she is always capable of inflicting a debuff so she applies her new Daze debuff. Altogether, Fang will have up to 4 buffs at a time, only 1 of which is framed allowing some flexibility in the enemy debuff slots
Umbral Vise (S1) removes Commando F and applies Saboteur F to Fang. If the enemy is debuffed, this attack deals weakness damage. This also increases her Fang of Transgression stacks by 1 (or by 2 if the enemy has a debuff). This also inflicts 3 generic debuffs to all targets.
Whirlwind (S2) removes Saboteur F and applies Commando F to Fang. Whirlwind launches the target and sets all other enemies to launch. Whirlwind also increases Fang’s stacks of her Fang of Transgression buff by 1 (or by 2 if the enemy is broken or if Fang BREAKs).
Highwind (EX) is Fang’s Fast charging EX, typically requiring 2 skill uses to recharge. Highwind will launch the target as well as setting all other enemies up for launch. If Fang has 5 stacks of her Fang of Transgression buff, Highwind gains another HP dump. This also increases her Fang of Transgression buff by 2 stacks and refreshes the buff duration.
Aerial Loop (LD) grants Fang her new Devastation buff and inflicts generic debuffs to the enemies.
Devastation increases Fang’s damage and grants Fang her new Powerchain buff when she initiates a launch, further increasing her damage.
Anytime Fang debuffs the enemy, Devastation will also inflict Daze on the enemy. Daze increases BRV and HP damage they take as well as paralyzes them, however, the duration decreases every time they are attacked. Similar to Pre-LD Board Selphie's Rapture debuff, it will not count down during BT phase.
