Sphere RecommendationsNOTE: The sphere letters below are hyperlinked to our Sphere Hub which lists all available spheres sorted by effect!
A Spheres: BRV DMG or ATK to make him hit even harder. Does Weakness DMG and is okay with Magic ATK spheres.
C Sphere: Heals party often so lean towards Llyud/Maria. Garnet is selfish but works. You can also give him his own sphere (or Ceodore/Braska) for even more healing if you want that utility.

Traps go BRRRRR! Open with LD then skill priorities are:
EX if it's up.
HP++ if you don't want to delete enemy turns.
S1+ if you're ok deleting the enemy upcoming turns (or enemies are undeletable).
Almost never S2 unless something went horribly wrong.
Remove Speed Passives (He has 3) if you want enemies to go more often
The Holy Anchor (Trap) seems simple enough: BRV gain into 1 HP attack with some refund, but with more enemies, his BT effect and his LD overhead stacks they start piling up damage VERY fast.
Traps go off 1 per enemy (2/3 max) and each turn the debuff duration is lowered will trigger an instance of attacking (eg. 3 enemies with at least 2T of Holy Anchor, Minwu has BT effect up and uses EX. There will be 6 instances of Holy Anchor (Trap) and at least 1 Additional Attack from Sublime Soul.)
Sublime Soul is Minwu's Special Effect (overhead) that provides the party with supportive auras and has a stacking mechanic. He gains 1 stack every time he attacks INCLUDING OFF-TURN ATTACKS. See where this is going?
When he has 5 Stacks and preforms another attack, it will trigger an Additional Attack with 3 HP attacks and it refreshes existing Holy Anchor debuffs to their full 6T again making him extremely self-sufficient.
Now for his main skills:
Teleport XVI (S1) can be damage filler however it will delete enemy turns so don't use it too often when relying on other allied traps/counters. With 5 Stacks of Master White mage this skill gains splash and the enemy delete/debuff lowering becomes AoE
Holy XVI (S2) is used for when Holy Anchor somehow falls off (it never should) or if enemies remove framed debuffs.
Soul Convergence (EX) is a very strong attack, lowers Holy Anchors duration and grants Minwu a free skill next turn
Soul of Rebirth (LD) recharges EX and resets existing instances of Holy Anchor to their max (6T)
Mightiest of Spells (BT) effect isn't the greatest for allies due to lack of HP DMG Limit HOWEVER he makes up for it by forcing Holy Anchor to lower another turn when he normally lowers it (so -2T instead of -1T in the Infographic while it's active)
BT phase if you choose to use it consists of:
If free skill: S1+ -> HP++ -> HP++ -> HP++ -> S1+ -> EX -> Finisher
Otherwise: HP++ -> HP++ -> HP++ -> EX -> S1+ -> S1+ -> Finisher
The final action can be LD instead if it's the last turn of Force Time as well!*In JP he was bugged on release and LD didn't fill his EX in Burst Phase, however it's fixed in GL so you can opt to:
LD fixed: EX -> S1+ -> LD -> EX -> S1+ -> S1+(Most raw damage vs 2 targets but less FR Bonus due to LD not lowering trap duration. Also useful when using other FRs)
His Force rewards off-turn damage as you want as many attacks to go off as often as possible which is easiest when enemies take turns and counters/traps do their thing. This may also discourage you from using S1+ too much as HP++ and having the boss move may lead to more traps/counters going off therefore more HP DMG Bonus during Force Time.
